We went into the field and documented almost 50 witness sightings/encounters with the hominid. We also spent considerable effort to understand topographic, weather, elevation and rainfall issues that effect Bigfoot. NABS conducted a nationwide search and located the foremost professional forensic artist and brought him onto the team to meet with witnesses and sketch the creature that they observed. What an amazing book!!!! I couldn't put it down....I recently became very interested in the bigfoot phenomena and when I came across the NABS website, I was hooked!!!!! David Paulides is an amazing author. The pictures in this book were fascinating to say the least. His approach on the subject was quite extraordinary in the ways he got all his info...This is a must read for any bigfoot fan...For any of you either on the fence about the subject or those who don't believe, once you read this, your aspects on the subject will definitely change. I hope to somehow get my hands on tribal bigfoot, so I can hear and see different tribes thoughts and stories....I am now reading David's other books missing 411 and they too are truly amazing!!!!!! David Paulides has done an excellent Investigative Research study on encounters,eye witness reports, hired one of the best criminal artist in the country to aid in his research investigation. For those that dont believe, this book is not for you, but if your one of many that have had sightings,encounters, known friends that have experienced the same, this book is a great read. Iam of the believer side as I have had two seperate encounters in the same location. Luckily for me I didn't run into any hostile behavior..

I have to say, David Paulides' "The Hoopa Project" is one of the better books I have read on the fascinating and enigmatic subject of the mystery that is "Bigfoot". Mr. Paulides has really done his homework here, painstakingly pounding the pavement in virtual door to door-like searches within a small native-american reservation and community called The Hoopa reservation, which is located in upper northern california. This area has been known as a hotbed of activity for these elusive and reclusive beings we refer to as sasquatch.
Paulides hard work paid off, as he was able to locate some INCREDIBLE eye-witness accounts from many credible members of this community. Some of these encounters are extremelycloseup, and borderline on eerie, and some of them show a more friendlier side of these gentle giants. Paulides takes it a step further, by bringing in a forensic sketch artist to work with each eye-witness, having him sketch out in amazing detail the features of these Sasquatch. The real bombshell in most of these encounters and subsequent sketches, is that this giant race of beings appear to be MUCH more human in appearance and behavior, than the previous research and data on the topic would have indicated. Could we be dealing with another form of HUMAN here, rather than a "giant ape" like being? This may well turn out to be one of the greatest discoveries in history if indeed the full truth ever does come to light. The Hoopa project is definitely worth the read for any enthusiast of this subject imho. 5 stars!
